I've spent 15 years in college access and student success, most of that building and running programs that help first-generation and low-income students get to and through college. I love the intersection of program work and systems change, where student feedback reshapes how campuses handle enrollment, and pilots become established programs.

Most recently, I was University Assistant Dean at the CUNY Office of K16 Initiatives (now the Office of P20 Pathways). I led a portfolio of near-peer mentor programs serving 55,000 New York City students each year, with 350+ staff and an $8.8 million budget. I founded College & Career Bridge for All, the largest peer counseling programs nationally. Bridge serves two-thirds of CUNY's first-time freshmen and increases CUNY enrollment by 7 percentage points. When the 2024 FAFSA rollout failed, I launched the CUNY Financial Aid Support Team, which drove more than 100,000 FAFSA submissions and received a Higher Education Innovation Award from the National Partnership for Student Success.

Before CUNY, I advised high school students in East Oakland with BUILD and started my career as an AmeriCorps college coach with College Possible. I hold an M.Ed. in Education Policy and Management from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. from Carleton College. I also co-chair the board of Limitless Horizons Ixil, which supports education for Indigenous Ixil girls in Guatemala. I'm based in Long Beach, California, and speak English and Spanish.
